Day 2 of vacation. Did I mention JD isnt here? He is visiting with his Gma B and wont be home til tomorrow. So… what to do tomorrow with neither of the boys home? hmmmm

Today I spent sometime with WonderHeart. Kid cracks me up. His legs are sooo strong Bro thinks WH may be walking in a month. We shall see!!! If he does, hes going to damage his face cause he’ has no muscle tone in his arms to catch himself when he falls. After that I headed to Olivet to meet up with a friend that I havent seen in a loonnnggg time. We both have hubbies and kids now and fell off the friendship wagon. No arguments, just life catching up with us. Olivet was the halfway mark for us so we met at a lil dive right on main street. We just talked and caught up for over 3 hours. I love the type of friend where you can just pick up where you left off. Oh yeah… it was Heather. The only blonde in my wedding party We can still crack each other up like the good ole days!!!

First official day of vacay!!! You think that would be enough to make me happy. Nope!!! Nothing makes me happier than spending the day with friends and/or family. What an awesome day!!! Bro and I left BC at 8 and goit to our Uncle’s house at 10 for a pre-garage sale preview/free for all. It was titled Nieces sale but Bro was there to represent his wife and an Uncle stopped by to represent two missing nieces residing in Fla. We had sooo much fun!!! No one brought their kids so there was no whining, no filtering of the language for us potty mouths, and in taking out carseats, that left way more room for all the stuf we took home!!! My biggest score was the three milk crates of classic rock vinyl I have had my eyes on for 9 years. Im technically “storing” them for Uncle Dave but I think we all know what that means.

It was a great day!!! Too much fun was had and we may need another relative to move so we can do it again sometime!!

I am coming up on a weeks vacation. Once I left the store at 5:15 Sat evening, Im not due to return til 9:00 Sept 7th!!! woot woot!! Sarted it off right by joining my hubby and a couple out of town friends at a fun bar/restaurant called the Waterfront. It sits.. yes… on the lake. They have three outdoor decks and at the edge of the water is a small stage. Live entertainment from someone who may or may not have called himself Sexual Chocolate. We heard a lot of Marvin Gaye and the likes. Its was perfect weather for having some drinks outside. The funniest part was the boat launch for all the visitors from the lake. There ended up being about 20 pontoons docked and oh.my.goodness! Hello midlife crisis meets plastic wives and cougars!!! It was hilarious to see the mingling going on. One cougar inparticular was sliding from pontoon to pontoon. She was working it!! It was HIGHLARIOUS!!!

JD had his end of summer program today. It was bittersweet cause it just reminded me that in just under 2 weeks he will start kindergarten. The program was cute but not as organized as the others have been in the past. His class did a skit to a story about Ruth. It was loooonnggg! And earlier in the day JD and I had lunch with Bro and Wonder Heart. Man that kid is stinkin cute!! JD doesnt really give two hoots about him but when he thinks no one is looking, he does play with him.

Happiness is finding $15 in the pocket of a blazer I havent worn in a month. Wahoo! Im gonna take my little guy out for a dinner date tonight

Shopping at the mall, grocery store, small library, pool, got nails did, movie, back to grocery store, cousin nick and uncle David visit, got girlie bike at garage sale, MickeyD’s playland for lunch, bowling, awesome playground, long bike ride, big library downtown.. currently unwinding and watching movie. phew.. Im tired!!!

Without going into much detail, it is just a really good feeling to put a smile on my customers’ face at work. One example: a gal was paying on a lawaway that she really couldnt afford to pick up for a few months. We had an additional discount that when I re-rang it, she saved so much money on it she only needed $10.. which she had planned on making a $25 payment. AND the ring fit so she wore it out. She had her two sons with her (school clothes shopping) and they were even thrilled at how happy Mom was. The older boy said “Mom got something new for school too!!” *sigh* Somedays arejust good like that

We went to lansing for a family gathering. Me, the sibs and their significant others, all our kids, and the rents. Great weather for hanging outside and of course the food was yummy The company was better tho!!!

Yeah I had my eye on a girl to possibly hire in my store. She’s nice, pretty, smart, available, and ye-haa… she used to work at a car dealership selling cars AND working the service desk. The girl know sales! Interviewed her today and I cant wait to bring her on board!!
